Blueberry Prune Smoothie
This is another smoothie recipe.....and even easier....I used a handful of blueberries, chopped seedless prunes, 2 tbsp of mix berries yogurt and 3/4 cup of ice water....very refreshing....:)

Berry Banana Smoothie
It was such a hot day so made myself a cooling glass of smoothie ;)
I used 1 banana, 8 strawberries, a handful of seedless grapes, 2 tbsp of mix berries yogurt, 1/4 cup of orange juice and some ice cubes.....blended it in high....and it's ready to serve ....

Event #2 : Comfort Food
Hi all...this is my 2nd event....my ongoing event Chocolate Lover ends on 15th Feb....my 2nd event is called Comfort Food and it's very simple...just create any dish that means comfort food to u or ur family...you may send in as many links as possible ...this event starts now till 30 th march....if you may ask, some of the famous comfort foods are ice-cream, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken pot pies, pancakes, waffles, hot chocolate and marshmallows, chicken stew, soups, chocolates, warm cakes, pies...and the list goes on...
Your dish can even be something very different but brings comfort to you...
The rules are simple,
1. Follow my blog.
2. You may send in as many links as you want but only posts posted from 10th Feb 2012 onwards...do link it using the linky tool at the end of this page and send a pic to my email add...for the round-up ;)

Ice-cream Sundae For Two
My husband had a busy weekend...so wanted to give him a little surprise afta dinner...made him a choc sundae...took me oni minutes...but the important thing is...he loved it :)
Sorry..the pics are not perfect as I grabbed a few shots before the ice-cream melts...
I used Death By Chocolate Premium Ice-cream by Sunnyside Farms.....a handful of strawberries and a banana...plus Hershey's Choc Syrup and some french butter love letters.....
Arrange sliced bananas and strawberries in a sundae cup....put a layer of choc sauce in between...and top it with 2 scoops of ice cream and a couple of love letters....dessert for two is ready to go :)

Eggless Banana Loaf Cake
LThis is a super easy, moist, yummy, healthy cake....and the recipe's a keeper
Ingredients :
1 3/4 cup low protein flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
2 ripe bananas (well mashed)
1/2 cup canola / sunflower oil
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Method :
Heat oven to 180C. Prepare a loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, sift in the flour, add salt, baking powder and sugar. Mix well.
Add in the milk, oil, vanilla and bananas. Gently mix till combined. Do not overmix and it will make the cake dense and not moist.
Pour in the loaf pan and bake for about 40 min or till ur cake tester comes out clean.

Egg Sambal
Yummy, spicy egg dish...
Ingredients :
3 eggs
8 dried chillies
5 cloves garlic
4 shallots
2 cm tamarind (dissolved in a little water)
a handful of anchovies
1 onion (cut into rings)
salt to taste
2 tsp sugar
Method :
1. Boil eggs and peel.
2. Soak dried chillies on hot water for about 20 minutes. Then grind together chillies, shallots and garlic.
3. Heat oil in a pan. Once oil is hot, fry the boiled eggs till golden brown and keep aside.
4. Fry the anchovies and keep aside.
5. Reduce oil and add in the ground ingredients. Fry till fragrant and add the onions and 1/2 cup water....Fry till oil separates and sauce thickens.
6. Add anchovies, tamarind juice, salt and sugar. Cook till a little dry. Dish it out onto the eggs. Ready to serve.

Homemade Pizza
Made this for dinner yesterday....yummy pizza...best thing is that u can choose ur own topping and have a heaped one too..hehe
Pizza base :
1. Dissolve 3/4 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp dry yeast in a little lukewarm water. Let it sit for 20 mins.
2. In a bowl, sift in 300 gm flour, add 2 tsp of olive oil and 1/4 tsp salt. Add in the yeast mixture and about 120 ml water. Knead well for about 10 to 15 min. Add some extra flour or water when kneading (if needed) to get a nice non-sticky dough. Leave to prove for 2 hours.
3. Take the dough out. Punch to remove air, knead again and roll out....ready to use. Place it on a medium size pizza pan. Prick middle parts of dough with a fork
4. Heat oven at 230 C....bake dough for 15 mins.
Topping :
Remove pan from oven, Spread tomato pasta paste (I used Prego spagetti sauce), sprinkle some dried mixed herbs......Add ur choice of toppings ( I used chic sausages, green capsicum, onion, fresh button mushrooms and sliced tomatoes)....Sprinkle with mozarella cheese, a little salt, chilli flakes and mixed herbs....Bake for another 15-20 mins....Serve fresh from oven....

Akhrot Murgh
This is a chicken dish with walnuts....
1/2 cup walnuts (blanched, peeled and powdered)
400 gm boneless chicken (cut into 1/2 inch pieces)
2 tbsp ginger, garlic paste
1/2 cup yogurt
1 onion (sliced)
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp tomato puree
4 green chillies (sliced)
2 tbsp fresh cream
1/2 tsp garam masala
Method :
1. Place chicken in a bowl. Add in ginger, garlic paste, salt, 1/2 tsp cumin powder and yogurt and mix well. Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Saute onion till soft. Add tomato puree and saute till oil separates. Add green chillies and cook for 2-3 mins.
3. Add remaining coriander and cumin powder. Mix well and cook for another minute.
4. Add the chicken and cook till tender. Add walnuts and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
5. Add 2 tbsp cream and garam masala and mix well.
6. Serve hot with rice.
